Charles Force Deems (1820-1893)

Charles F. Deems was professor of humanities in the University of North Carolina and professor of natural sciences in Randolph-Macon College, after which he became president of Greensboro College. He went on to found the Methodist Episcopal Church of Strangers in New York City.
