Charles Cleveland Dodge (1841-1910)

Charles Cleveland Dodge was a Union soldier who served as captain, major, lieutenant colonel, and colonel of the 1st New York Mounted Rifles. He was also promoted to brigadier general of volunteers, but when he was passed over for overall Cavalry command in the sector, he resigned. He later helped suppress the New York City draft riots.
