A. P. Dostie (d.1866)

Anthony Paul Dostie was a dentist and an abolitionist activist in New Orleans. After the war he agitated for enfranchisement of blacks. During a riot on July 27, 1866, Dostie was shot through the lungs, beaten, and left for dead. He died six days later.
