Samuel Downing (1762-1869?)

This is Samuel Downing, one of six last survivors of the Revolutionary War, at age 102, in 1864. Downing was born near Exeter, New Hampshire. At age sixteen he enlisted in the army. He spent most of the war in New York state. He died in Edinburg, New York.
