Thomas R. Pynchon (1823-1904)

Thomas Ruggles Pynchon was an educator. He was president of Trinity College (1874-83) in Hartford, Connecticut. Pynchon served in a variety of other roles at Trinity including college chaplain, librarian, and professor of chemistry, geology, zoology, and philosophy.
