Samuel J. Randall (1828-1890)

Samuel Jackson Randall was a Democratic politician and party leader from Pennsylvania, in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1863-90. He was also speaker of the house (1875-81). Randall was so expert at debating, filibustering and other delaying tactics that his methods became known as "Samrandallism."
