George E. Pickett (1825-75)
George Edward Pickett was a Confederate general who is best remembered for his part in the Gettysburg campaign. His assault, famously known as Picketts Charge, on the Union center at Cemetery Hill on July 3, 1863, resulted in the virtual annihilation of his division.
