Peter Rindisbacher, Sr. (1779-1865)
Peter Rindisbacher, Sr. was the father of the artist Peter Rindisbacher, Jr. (1806-1834). They emigrated from Switzerland to Canada in 1821. The younger Peter Rindisbacher became a painter of Native Americans and Western frontier life in the American Northwest and Central Canada.
