Beverly Robertson (1826-1910)
Beverly Holcome Robertson was a Confederate brigadier general during the Civil War. A West Pointer, he accepted a position as captain and assistant adjutant general when the war broke out. He was appointed brigadier general in June 1862. In 1863 he disappointed Jeb Stuart, who was already irritated with him, by putting in a poor performance at Gettysburg; he did not join Lee in Pennsylvania quickly enough. Robertson was transferred out of Stuart's cavalry command. There is no record of his service after 1864.
