Washington Roebling (1837-1926)
Washington Roebling was the son of John Augustus Roebling, the German immigrant who was the chief engineer of the Brooklyn Bridge. Washington took over after his father's death, and he was named chief engineer in August 1869. Roebling collected a fine collection of minerals through his lifetime.
