Isaac P. Rodman (1822-1862)
Isaac Peace Rodman was a brigadier general in the Union Army. As part of General Burnside's expedition Rodman fought at Roanoke Island, New Bern, and Fort Macon; Burnside recommended him for promotion and named him military governor of Beaufort, North Carolina. After a convalescence from typhoid, Rodman entered the fray at Sharpsburg and fell wounded. He died on September 30, 1862.
