Harvey Prindle Peet (1794-1873)
Harvey Prindle Peet was an educator of the deaf. In 1831 he took charge of the New York Institution for the Instruction of the Deaf and Dumb. He retired in 1867, having made tremendous improvements in the size and quality of the school.
