Edward Mollenhauer (1827-1914)
Edward Mollenhauer was a violinist, composer, and conductor. Born in Germany, he founded the Conservatory of Music in New York City. Mollenhauer soloed with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra for six years. He composed two operas, three symphonies, and pieces for violin.
