Eli H. Murray (1844-1896)

Eli Huston Murray was a brevet brigadier general in the Union Army, a newspaperman, and governor of Utah. He entered the Union Army when he was seventeen and was a brevet brigadier general before he was twenty-one. He served as territorial governor of Utah (1880-86) and died the year that Utah obtained statehood.
