E. W. Whitaker (1841-1922)

Edward Washburn Whitaker was a brevet brigadier general of volunteers in the Union Army. In 1898 Congress awarded Whitaker the Medal of Honor for his bravery at Reams's Station, Virginia, on June 29, 1864.
