Cadmus M. Wilcox (1824-1890)
Cadmus Marcellus Wilcox was a graduate of West Point and also served as an assistant instructor of military tactics at the military academy. He fought in the Mexican War, however at the outbreak of the Civil War he joined the Confederates and became a brigadier general. After the war he held the post of chief of the railroad division in the United States Government Land Office in Washington, DC.
