Abel Carter Wilder (1828-1875)

Abel C. Wilder was a Republican U.S. congressman from Kansas serving from 1863-1865. Wilder was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1860 and was elected its chairman. He was also a delegate to the national conventions in 1864, 1868, and 1872. Wilder was elected mayor of Rochester, New York, in 1872.
