Millie Palmer, Mrs. Bandmann-Palmer (d.1926)

Millie Palmer, Mrs. D. E. Bandmann-Palmer was an actress and the wife of Daniel Edward Bandmann (1840-1905), a Shakespearean actor from Germany. Together the couple performed as Romeo and Juliet. Mr. and Mrs. Bandmann went to England in 1867. In 1878 they performed as Valentine and Pierre Lorance in "Proof," at the Adelphi Theatre in London. For a time Mrs. Bandmann-Palmer directed her own company. The actress starred in Shakespearean roles such as Hamlet, which she took on tour for many years in northern England.
