Ada Hill was a British actress in London's Adelphi Theatre company. In 1870 she played Elspy in "Flowers of the Forest," and in 1871 Hill was the village blacksmith in "Mistletoe Bough" and Emily Appleby in "Our Female American Cousin." In this photo, at the Elliot & Fry studio in London, Hill appears to be in costume as Rosalind, from Shakespeare's "As You Like It."
