Amy Sheridan (1838-1878)
Amy Sheridan was a popular English burlesque actress. She appeared in "Maud's Peril" as Miss Sefton at the Adelphi Theatre in London, in 1867. In 1875 Sheridan was sued for refusing to pay for stage props for "Ixion Rewheel'd," a play by F. C. Burnand. The Second Court of Exchequer fined her one hundred and fifty-three pounds. Sheridan appears here, wearing an elaborate hat, in a carte de visite by Elliot & Fry, 55 Baker Street, London.
