Emile Sauret (1852-1920)
Emile Sauret, born at Dun-le-Roi, France, was a French violinist and composer. He began European tours at the age of eight. Sauret made his American debut in 1872. Liszt performed sonatas with him. Sauret wrote over 100 violin pieces, including the "Gradus ad Parnassum" (1894). In 1873 Sauret married Teresa Carreno (1853-1917), the Venezuelan pianist and composer.
