General Winfield Scott (1786-1866)

This photograph of General Winfield Scott in his uniform was taken on June 10, 1862 in West Point by Charles D. Fredricks & Co. At this time he was retired from his position of lieutenant general and commander of the U.S. Army and was writing his memoirs.
