G. Lindenmuller

G. Lindenmuller brought a famous suit against the people, Lindenmuller v. The People (1861), and it went to the State Supreme Court. The court ruled that Sunday Laws could be considered a civil prerogative of the State because Christianity was part of the common law in the United States. It maintained that Sunday was a holiday even if that offended members of other religions.
