Frans Liszt (1811-1886)
Frans Liszt, born in Hungary, was one of the greatest pianists of all times and arranged many famous orchestral pieces for piano. He was also one of the greatest avant-garde composers of the nineteenth century, laying the seeds for the Late Romantic, Impressionist, and Atonal schools. He invented the symphonic poem.
