Lloyd Tilghman (1816-1863)

Lloyd Tilghman was a brigadier general in the Confederate Army. He attended West Point (1836), served in the Mexican War, and after that war, worked as a construction engineer for a number of railroads in the South. Tilghman entered the Civil War from Kentucky and became brigadier general in 1861. He was killed in the Battle of Champion's Hill, in 1863.
