Albion Winegar Tourjee (1838-1905)
Albion Winegar Tourjee was a lawyer, civil rights advocate, and author. His very popular novel, "A Fool's Errand" (1879), was based on his experiences as a carpetbagger judge in the South during Reconstruction. Tourjee was an active opponent of the Ku Klux Klan.
