Martin Farquhar Tupper (1810-1889)

Martin Farquhar Tupper was an English poet. Tupper's autobiography, "My Life as an Author" (1886), attests to his vanity, which was so much a part of everything he wrote. He even compared himself to such poets as Byron and Tennyson.
