Erastus B. Tyler (1822-1891)

Erastus Barnard Tyler was a brevet major general of volunteers. Tyler was a businessman who was commissioned colonel in April, 1861. He was promoted to brigadier general of volunteers in May, 1862. Mustered out in August, 1865, Tyler was brevetted major general for war service.
