Daniel Setchell (1831-c.1866)
Daniel Setchell was an actor and comedian. He was born in Boston. He made his debut at the Howard Athenaeum, in Boston, in 1853, as Bernardo in "Hamlet." Setchell's first New York appearance was in Barnum's Museum. His final appearance in New York was in 1863, in a burlesque of "Leah." Setchell sailed for New Zealand in 1866, after which nothing was heard of him.
