These three illustrations from the May 12, 1894 issue of "Harper's Weekly " show scenes of Coxey's Army approaching Washington, with "marshal" Carl Browne on his charger; "General" Coxey accompanied by reporters with bicycles; and "General" Coxey being escorted from the Capitol following the economic panic of 1893.
