Grace Fletcher, Mrs. Daniel Webster (d.1828)

Grace Fletcher married Daniel Webster on May 29, 1808. She was the daughter of a New Hampshire clergyman. They had five children. When she died in 1828 Daniel Webster's zest for public affairs and his interest in his work were for a time destroyed. This portrait may have been painted by Chester Harding (1792-1866).
