Larkin G. Mead (1835-1910)

Mead was an American sculptor who designed Lincoln's tomb, which was one of the first Civil War memorials to be designed. His work includes a statue of Ethan Allen (which is in Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol) and a Civil War statue called "The Returned Soldier."
