Abram Wakeman (1824-1889)
Abram Wakeman was a U.S. representative from New York. He was elected as a Whig to one term (1855-57). At the outbreak of the Civil War he raised the 81st Pennsylvania Volunteers. Wakeman was postmaster of New York City from 1862 to 1864.
