William Wallace

William Wallace married Mary Todd Lincoln's older sister, Frances Todd Wallace, in 1839, when he was a young doctor from Pennsylvania. He was the Lincoln's family physician in Springfield and Lincoln's son Willie was named after him. In this photo he wears the Union Army uniform of a major.
