Anna Berger
Anna Berger was a young female trumpet player in the 1870s and 80s. She originally belonged to the Berger Family's Ladies' Orchestra. Berger then performed alone in concert at New York's leading theaters, such as the Olympic, Booth's, the Academy of Music, and Union Square Theatre. The musician poses here for a photograph at the Napoleon Sarony studio in New York City, circa 1880.
