Mrs. W. F. Brough (1799-1873)

Mrs. Brough was the wife of William Francis Brough (1798-1868), a bass vocalist and opera manager in the U.S. and England. They made their home in Brooklyn. She poses for this photo from the C. D. Fredricks studio in New York City, wearing elaborately ruffled sleeves and a voluminous skirt.
