Lucy Ware Webb, Mrs. Rutherford B. Hayes (1831-1889)

Lucy Ware Webb married future president Rutherford B. Hayes in 1852, and bore him eight children. She attended Cincinnati Wesleyan Female College, and was the first presidential wife to graduate from college. In this photograph she poses at the Landy studio in Cincinnati, Ohio. Below the photo is written "Mrs. R. B. Hayes."
