"Washington, Crossing the Delaware"
General George Washington, on horseback, oversees the Continental Army being ferried across the Delaware River on the night of December 25, 1776. They are on their way to surprise the British at Trenton. A soldier carries a flag that reads "Conquer or Die." This print was engraved by J. Cameron and published by Currier & Ives in 1878.
