Jennie Eustace (1865-1936)
Jennie Eustace was a popular actress. While the leading lady in "The Witching Hour" at the Hackett Theatre she undertook to raise $1,000 for a fund to aid indigent school children in New York. Mark Twain sent her a check for $10 (the equivalent of approximately $100 in the late twentieth century). In 1924 Eustace performed in "Sweet Seventeen" at the Lyceum Theatre in New York.
