Annie Firmin was an actress and theater manager. At the head of her own comedy company, she toured North Carolina in 1885 and 1886, performing "Old Money Bags," "Henry IV," "The Merry Wives of Windsor," and "Romeo and Juliet." The company played to crowded houses and enthusiastic reviews. Firmin appears here in costume, opening her fan.
