George K. Fortescue (1847-1912)
George Knottesford Fortescue was a nineteenth-century actor who frequently impersonated women. From 1900 to 1905 Fortescue appeared in three Broadway productions. Here he poses coquettishly at the Mora studio in New York City, circa 1875.
