Gertrude Gregory

Gertrude Gregory was a nineteenth-century gymnast and a member of the athletic Gregory Family. Their act was so popular that in 1869 a burlesque of it, "A Leap for Life," was performed. Gregory poses here in costume at the Gurney studio in New York City, circa 1870.
