Lotta (1847-1924)
Lotta was an American actress whose early days as an entertainer during the California Gold Rush made her the darling of the American stage as well as England. In 1859 Lotta began appearing in theaters in San Francisco, where her singing, dancing, and melodramatic roles - many written for her - kept her in the limelight. Her real name was Charlotte Crabtree. Here Lotta poses as Firefly wearing a fez and holding a cigar.
