Josephine Mansfield

(Helen) Josephine Mansfield, a singer, became the mistress of James Fisk, an unscrupulous capitalist. Fisk quarreled over Mansfield with Edward Stokes, who fatally shot him in 1872. Stokes went to Sing-Sing. Mansfield then moved to Paris.
