Joseph P. Wright
This may be the Joseph P. Wright who was a Union army surgeon and medical purveyor during the Civil War. He received the brevet commissions of captain, major, and lieutenant colonel for his meritorious services. After the war Wright was surgeon at the Military Prison in Fort Leavenworth for seven years.
