Abram Zabriskie (d.1864)

Abram Zabriskie enlisted as an adjutant general in the 9th New Jersey Volunteers of the Union Army in 1861. Zabriskie, who was very popular with the regiment, was soon promoted to colonel. He fought in the Richmond Campaign and the Wilderness Campaign. Zabriskie died in May, 1864, of wounds received at Drewry's Bluff, Virginia.
