Maud Powell (1867-1920)

Maud Powell was one of the greatest violinists of the U.S. She made her European debut in 1885. Later Powell formed the Maud Powell Trio. In 1904 the violinist was one of the first solo instrumentalists to record for the Victor Talking Machine and her recordings became world-wide bestsellers.
