Mrs. J. H. Allen
Mrs. Allen, a popular actress in the 1850s and 60s, belonged to various New York companies - Wallack's, Laura Keene's, and Boucicault's. Allen also performed at her husband's theater, the Bowery. Allen used only her husband's name. She was a close friend of Mary Todd Lincoln.
