Maude Branscombe
Maude Branscombe, actress and operetta vocalist, made her 1876 New York debut as Cupid in "Ixion," at the Eagle Theatre. Branscombe was also one of the most photographed women of the decade. In 1879 came her Gilbert & Sullivan debut as Hebe in "H. M. S. Pinafore" at the New York Lyceum. Branscombe relocated to London where in 1883 she starred in "Love Chase" at London's Adelphi.
