Euphemia Murray, Mrs. John Ellsler (b.1824)

"Effie" Ellsler, an actress, debuted at the Chestnut Street Theatre in her home town as Tom Thumb, in the play by the same name. The actress made her New York debut as Pauline at the Chatham Theatre (n.d.). After her marriage to actor and theater manager John Ellsler, "Effie" became the leading lady at his Cleveland Academy of Music.
